In my last semester at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, I needed one more course to graduate. I had no interest in calligraphy, but it fit into my schedule. It turned into one of my primary motivations.  The artwork on these pages is based on writing, alphabets, and mark making. I am inspired by the ways letters are formed, the calligraphy of different cultures and the ways that overlapping writing forms rhythmic texture.
